Despite Spodek’s unusual defense, Sorokin was convicted in May 2019 on eight of 10 charges (including grand theft). Attempted extensive theft and service theft (total) 12 years in prison, but Sorokin only spent two years in prison when he was released for good behavior because I overstayed on my visa.
